Code of Conduct

Objective:

Make the arena & surrounding area where our members play a safe & enjoyable environment in which to participate in any B.L.A. event.

Scope:

The following code applies to: (Members of the B.L.A. (coaches, players, executive, referees & volunteers)

• Parents of the members of the B.L.A.

• Spectators of all B.L.A. events

• All events attended by B.L.A. members including events in Brockville or outside of Brockville. This includes exhibition games, league games & tournament games.

Code:

1. No spectators are allowed within 25 feet of the players benches while the game is in progress.

2. No ridiculing, yelling or abusive gestures at referees before, during or after competition.

3. No ridiculing, yelling or abusive gestures at any participant during participation in any B.L.A. event.

4. All members will support all efforts to remove verbal & physical abuse from children's sporting activities.

5. All participants will be encouraged to play by the rules & to resolve conflicts without resorting to hostility or violence.

6. No damage to facilities will be tolerated.

Enforcement:

Warning to offender to obey the code of conduct.

Offender will be asked to leave the playing area. Police may be called if offender continues.
